Bawaka homeland, East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory

Bawaka homeland is located approximately 43km south of Gove Airport or 56km south of Nhulunbuy, on the Gove Peninsula in North-East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, Australia.

There is a gate at the entrance to the property and visitors with a confirmed booking will receive the gate code with their booking information.

The site is limited to 4-wheel drive vehicles and experienced drivers. There is a 17 km bush track drive from the gate, followed by a 5km beach drive.

NOTE: Bawaka Homeland is Private Land and access is strictly by permission only. Unauthorised entry is a breach of Aboriginal land rights and may lead to prosecution under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976.
